Food Banks, Social Service Agencies Receive 300+ Cases Of Food Items In November

The Capital Region Food Program distributed the nonperishable food items to 15 organizations Tuesday to assist with Thanksgiving efforts.

CONCORD, NH — More than 300 cases of nonperishable food items were distributed by the Capital Region Food Program Tuesday.

The items, as part of the org’s Year-Round Distribution Project, included canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, breakfast cereal, pasta, and soups. Cranberry sauce, chickens, and turkeys were included in this distribution to assist agencies with their Thanksgiving food distribution efforts.

Fifteen organizations received food donations this week. They included Blueberry Express Day Care, the Boscawen Congregational Church Food Pantry, the Capitol City Food Pantry, Christ the King Food Pantry, Concord Housing Authority, the Epsom Food Pantry, the Friends of Forgotten Children, the Loudon Food Pantry, Merrimack Valley Day Care, the Open Door Community Kitchen, the St Paul’s Church Food Pantry, Suncook CAP, Undercover Food Pantry, Warner Connects NH, and West Congregational Church Food Pantry.

The items were distributed at no cost to participating partner agencies. The program distributes food to up to 17 organizations in Concord and the capital region. It is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been distributing food since 1974.
