The Friendly Toast’s Test Kitchen Offers New Fare For Halloween, Thanksgiving, And Christmas

CONCORD, NH — The Test Kitchen at The Friendly Toast is serving up some specials for the holiday season.

For Halloween, through Nov. 2, the eatery presents Bleeding French Toast & Poison Apple Dirty Soda. The cocoa-dipped sourdough French toast is layered with chocolate whipped cream and a raspberry jam center (hence, “bleeding”), topped with Oreo dirt and ganache.

“And if you’re feeling extra spooky, pair it with a Poison Apple Dirty Soda,” the company said.

As everyone knows, there is nothing better than a leftover turkey sandwich, especially with cranberry, stuffing, and maybe even some gravy taking the place of mayo. In mid-to-late-November, the Friendly Toast is offering a ‘Friends’giving Leftovers Sandwich. Straight from the hit television show in the 1990s, Ross Geller’s favorite three-decker turkey masterpiece, complete with house-made stuffing, smashed tater kegs, cranberry aioli, and Monica Geller’s famous “moist maker,” the company said.

Just in time for the Christmas season, the restaurant will offer Happy Hollandaise. It features a leftover eggs Benedict, a prosciutto and fig benny, and a bagel and lox benny.

The Test Kitchen’s weekly specials are often paired with dirty sodas — which, for $3 more, can get a splash of booze.

The specials, including the three holiday promotions, will be served at the eatery’s 15 locations across New England. The Friendly Toast has eateries in Boston, Burlington, Cambridge, Chestnut Hill, Danvers, Dedham, and North Andover, Massachusetts, as well as Bedford, Concord, Nashua, Portsmouth, and Salem, New Hampshire; Burlington, Vermont; Portland, Maine; and West Hartford, Connecticut.
