How do you know the star local student?

Niece and I coach her in softball

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

She is a three sport athlete, high honors and All-State athlete for softball and basketball. She is on the National Honor Society and spent her last two April vacations in West Virginia with Habitat for Humanity. She has also assisted me in running clinics for youth softball. She is a great student, player, and person.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She is a great leader and captain for our team. She is always helping the younger athletes and cheering her team on. She made the All-State First team last year as a sophomore for softball. She has only played field hockey for two years and made All-State this year. She is also captain of her basketball team and softball team and has been captain of the softball team since freshman year.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Payton!
