Hooksett Police Arrest Two for Kohl's Robbery

A Weare woman and Allenstown man were arrested over the weekend after trying to steal a TV from a Kohl's Department store.

HOOKSETT, NH - A Weare woman and Allenstown man were arrested over the weekend after trying to steal from a Kohl's Department store and assaulting an employee.

According to Hooksett Police, officers were dispatched to 200 Quality Drive on Apr. 28. According to an employee, Amanda Bailey-Roberge, 32, of Weare, N.H. allegedly tried to steal clothes and a TV before she was stopped by an employee.

Police said the woman tripped the employee and then struck them several times before leaving the store.

According to police, Joseph Hanright, 28, of Allenstown, N.H. was waiting for Bailey-Roberge in a car. Police said a vehicle description and license plate were obtained and a State-Wide alert was put out in order to locate the vehicle.

Police said Hanright and Bailey-Roberge were also involved in a theft of merchandise from Bed, Bath & Beyond in Hooksett that occurred just prior to the incident at Kohl’s.

After a search, Londonderry Police located the suspect vehicle on I-93 south by Exit 3 and stopped the vehicle. Both Bailey-Roberge and Hanright were inside the vehicle and were taken into custody without any issue. New Hampshire State Police transported Bailey-Roberge and Hanright to the Hooksett Police Department for the booking process.

Bailey-Roberge was charged with Robbery, Organized Retail Crime, Willful Concealment, and two counts of Simple Assault. Bailey-Roberge also had a no bail arrest warrant out of Merrimack County for Possession of Drugs.

Police said she refused bail on HPD’s charges and was transported to the Merrimack County Jail for arraignment on Apr. 3o at the Merrimack County Superior Court.

Hanright was charged with Organized Retail Crime and Willful Concealment. He refused to be bailed on HPD’s charges and was also placed on a 72-hour hold by Probation/Parole.

He was also transported to the Merrimack County Jail for arraignment on Apr. 30 at the Merrimack County Superior Court.
