Hundreds Honor Concord Firefighter CJ Girard

CONCORD, NH — Christopher “CJ” Girard, 39, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday evening in Bow after a brief illness.

Firefighters from Concord Fire and several fire departments escorted him from Concord Hospital through parts of Concord to Bennett Funeral Home. At Concord Hospital, firefighters lined up as the casket was loaded into the hearse. A large procession of apparatus followed the hearse and drove past ladder trucks from Londonderry and Concord Fire displaying a large American flag.

Firefighters at the funeral home lined the parking lot while the flag draped casket was brought into the funeral home with CJ’s wife and children following the casket.
