'Incredible' Concord Mom 'Inspires Me Every Single Day,' Daughter Says

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is special because she looks out for me, my sister, and anyone who needs help. She’s even stopped on the side of the road on the highway near an accident to make sure someone is okay! She makes me laugh more than anyone else in this world. Like, holding my stomach because it hurts from laughing. She raised me and my sister as a single mom when we were younger, and made sure we had beds to sleep on when she didn’t have one of her own. She raised my sister and I with care, and she’s always been so accepting. She is so caring and brave. She stands up for anyone who needs it and for what is right. She is unlike anyone else I have ever met and does the most without even being asked. She is truly selfless, incredible, and inspires me every single day.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She never gets the recognition she deserves even though she is stellar. She deserves it because she goes above and beyond for me and my family. She works so hard to provide for us and make us happy. I believe everyone could learn something from her go-getter attitude. She doesn’t give up. She is an inspiration and I want others to acknowledge her hard work, because being a mom can be a thankless job. I would not be where I am without her, she encourages me to put my best foot forward, and on the days where I’m falling, she picks me back up again.
