The single most important pressing issue facing the community is _______ and this is what I intend to do about it

The most pressing issue facing our community is the future of our schools, particularly how we manage large projects like the new middle school while also keeping education affordable for Concord taxpayers.

We cannot continue to move forward with costly decisions without giving the community full, open, and honest information. My approach will be straightforward: put students first in budgeting, insist that spending is clear and accountable, and make sure that every major project is planned in a way that the community can both support and sustain.

Strong schools and responsible budgets are not in conflict, they must go hand in hand. As your representative on the School Board, I will listen carefully, ask tough questions, and keep the focus on balancing educational quality with financial responsibility.

List three other things you would like to work on if elected or re-elected

  1. Student Achievement and Support – Strengthen core academics by focusing resources where they matter most, including programs that directly improve reading, math, and overall student outcomes.
  2. Class Sizes and Staffing Balance – Work to keep class sizes at levels that support learning while being mindful of sustainable staffing levels and costs.
  3. Community Engagement – Build stronger two-way communication between the School Board and residents, so decisions reflect the voices of parents, students, and taxpayers before votes are taken.

Name a couple of accomplishments in the past that show you can handle this position

I spent more than 40 years in information technology, where I managed large, complex projects and helped resolve some of the toughest business problems for both private companies and state government.

One of my strengths has always been the ability to take a complex issue, break it down into its parts, and find workable solutions that meet both short-term needs and long-term goals. That experience taught me how to manage tight budgets, lead teams through difficult challenges, and keep people focused on the outcomes that matter.

Those same skills, problem-solving, accountability, and balancing priorities, are exactly what I’ll bring to the Concord School Board.

Share any other thoughts or ideas you would like voters to know about yourself

I’ve lived in Concord for more than three decades, and this community has given so much to me and my family. I want to give back by making sure our schools remain strong and sustainable for the next generation.

Beyond my professional background in IT and data systems, I’m a husband, and a father, who understands the importance of education in shaping opportunities. Members of my immediate family go back 4 generations in education from elementary to college.

What matters most to me is being a good listener. I don’t come into this race with a personal agenda, I come in with a commitment to open, honest, and accountable leadership. My focus will always be on representing the voices of Concord’s families and taxpayers, not just my own opinions.
