An email blast sent out Friday launched what was called a "rapid response fund" for Gov. Maggie Hassan (D-Exeter), a 72-hour campaign fund-raising pitch aligned with ActBlue to head off potential "Koch Brothers" impact in NH politics in 2014.
In 2012, Hassan peppered her campaign speeches with talk of the former Tea Party Speaker of the House, William O'Brien (R-Mont Vernon). In 2014, will it be "Maggie vs. the Koch Brothers?"
A snippet of the email blast, sent via Hassan's campaign arm (maggiehassan.com), reads:
"Contribute now to make sure outside groups like the Koch Brothers stay out of New Hampshire politics."
"Governor Hassan has been an amazing leader who has made progress where it counts and is getting things done, working to create jobs and encourage innovation. We can’t afford to let the Koch Brothers and their millions in deceitful ads drown out our voices."
