Man Reportedly Wearing Only Underwear And A Hat Assaults Two Hillsborough County Dispatchers

The man described as in his fifties was wearing a hat with the words "Don't Tread On Me" when he tried to force his way into the facility.

GOFFSTOWN, NH - Law enforcement agencies are searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted two dispatchers at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office complex on Saturday afternoon. Arrest warrants have been issued for the individual, who was identified after a brief police pursuit.

According to a statement from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. An individual reportedly followed a dispatcher into the complex, forced their way through a secure door, and then physically assaulted that dispatcher and another. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the assault.

The Goffstown Police Department responded to the incident, deploying a drone that located the suspect entering a vehicle. A Goffstown police officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop, leading to a short pursuit.

The chase was terminated a few minutes later for safety reasons. Despite a search of the area by both the Sheriff's Office and Goffstown Police Department, the suspect could not be found.

Goffstown Police broadcast a message that they were looking for a man in his fifties wearing only black underwear and a hat that said “Don’t Tread On Me”. They later added a description of a car that the person may have been driving or was a passenger.

The suspect has been positively identified, officials are not releasing their name or any other details to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, according to Sheriff Brian Newcomb.
