Man Shot In Concord; Police Search For Suspect

Concord police said a man was found shot in Penacook.

CONCORD, NH -- A man was shot in Concord Saturday morning and police are searching for the suspect. The victim was found in a car in Penacook, according to Concord Police Lt. Sean Ford.

Ford said at about 1:30 a.m., officers responded to Pinehurst Street for a report of shots fired.

"Within moments of that call, officers were dispatched ... to the area of Penacook square for a report of an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, inside of a car," Ford said in a statement. "Both incidents are believed to be related."

The man was transported to Concord Hospital with serious injuries. He was expected to survive.

"The investigation is active," Ford added. "Police do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time."
