Nashua Motorcyclist Dies After Crash In Bedford

Brandon Roy died during a crash on the Raymond Wieczorek Drive offramp onto South River Road Wednesday.

BEDFORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist from Nashua on Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 5:15 p.m., troopers were sent to the Raymond Wieczorek Drive offramp onto South River Road for a crash. A motorcyclist, Brandon G. Roy, 33, of Nashua, was riding a 2020 Honda motorcycle when he “did not negotiate a right-hand turn along the ramp,” Tyler Dumont, a public information officer, said.

“Roy ultimately lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, suffering life-threatening injuries, and the motorcycle came to rest in the road,” he said.

Bedford fire and rescue teams attempted to provide life-saving measures, Dumont said, but he was taken to Elliot Hospital later and pronounced dead.

During the investigation and cleanup, Dumont said the offramp was closed for about two and a half hours. Along with fire and rescue teams, troopers were assisted by Bedford police and employees from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
