Nearly 3 Tons Of Food Shipped To Concord, Capital Region Pantries

For October, the Capital Region Food Program distributed more than $8,300 worth of food to 16 social service agencies.

CONCORD, NH — The Capital Region Food Program continues to deliver food to Concord and capital region food pantries, social service agencies, and churches as part of its year-round distribution project.

On Tuesday, the org delivered nearly three tons of food, valued at more than $8,300, to 16 entities.

The agencies included B/M Concord CAP, Blueberry Express Day Care, the Capitol City Food Pantry, CAP Mobile Food Pantry, Christ the King Food Pantry, the CityHope Food Pantry at CenterPoint Church, Concord Human Services, the Epsom Food Pantry, the Friends of Forgotten Children, the Loudon Food Pantry, the Pittsfield Food Pantry, St Paul’s Church Food Pantry, Suncook CAP, the town of Boscawen, the Under Cover Food Pantry, and Warner Connects NH. The items included non-perishable items such as canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, soups, and other items.

The program distributes the food at no cost to participating agencies. The food is distributed to 17 communities around Concord.
