CONCORD, NH — It is Independence Day weekend in the Granite State.

With the Fourth of July falling on a Friday this year, it is a true “long weekend” instead of an “extra-long weekend” (meaning taking Thursday and Friday off). There are numerous things to do around the state. Here is a sampling.

And, BTW, Saturday begins the one-year countdown to America’s 250th. If you haven’t seen the latest information about local, regional, and national events, check out the America 250 site, linked here.
