New Hampshire Fugitive, With ‘Violent Tendencies,’ Not Seen For Nearly 12 Years, Corrections Says

Last police contact with James Paul Andrews was in New Jersey, investigators say; he also has ties to Pennsylvania.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is asking for the public’s help in finding a fugitive not seen for nearly a dozen years.

James Paul Andrews is 38, white, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 185 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Andrews has tattoos on his right arm — a tribal symbol, the letters “LJ” on his neck, and a skull, fire, stars, and an hour glass on his left arm.

Andrews has no known aliases.

Andrews was convicted of burglary in Hillsborough County Superior Court North. He was paroled but accused of absconding from supervision around January 2014. The New Hampshire Adult Parole Board issued Andrews’ warrant.

Investigators said Andrews was last known to have contact with police in New Jersey. He also has ties in Pennsylvania.

Prior charges include drug possession, simple assault, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest or detention charges. He is considered to have “violent tendencies,” and a warning has been placed on his alert.

In the burglary case, Andrews was arrested in November 2010 in Manchester. In November 2011, he pleaded guilty to a single count and received a one-to-three-year sentence, with 16 days of time-served credit.
