LACONIA, NH — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday in a Laconia crash during New Hampshire Bike Week. Police said the man was driving on Watson Road near Route 3 when he apparently veered off the road and crashed. The man was ejected from the motorcycle, police said. Residents in the area heard the crash, walked to the scene and called authorities. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's identity was withheld pending notification of family. The cause of the crash remained under investigation, police said. On Friday, another motorcyclist was killed nearby in a crash in Meredith as Bike Week — otherwise known as Laconia Motorcycle Week — got underway. Bike Week, which draws thousands of motorcyclists to the Laconia region, runs through Sunday.
