NH Coronavirus: Sununu Reopening Announcement Set For 3 PM
Gov. Chris Sununu is expected to announced a limited reopening for parts of New Hampshire's economy.

CONCORD, NH — A limited reopening of New Hampshire's economy is on the way. At a 3 p.m. press conference Friday, Gov. Chris Sununu is expected to announce the first phase of a plan to rollback restrictions on industries hard-hit by the ongoing response to the coronavirus outbreak in the state.
At the same time, Sununu doesn't appear ready to alter the stay-at-home orders. During a press conference earlier this week, the governor explained that the plan is to "flex open" parts of the state, but that it would take a "smart, phased-in approach that is always putting public health first," the Union Leader reported.
This afternoon's planned announcement comes less than two weeks after the Sununu announced the creation of an Economic Re-Opening Task Force, which yesterday released recommendations for the first phase of reopenings. Among the recommendations, the task force announced guidelines for reopening hair salons and permitting restaurants to open outdoor dining rooms,m though tables are limited to a maximum of six guests.
