NH Fugitive Of The Week Captured

The New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force arrested Brandon Janak, who was wanted on a weapon charge.

LACONIA, NH — A man featured as New Hampshire's fugitive of the week was captured in Laconia Tuesday, authorities said. Brandon Janak (pictured), 24, was wanted on a weapon charge and featured as the New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force's fugitive of the week in May.

He was tracked to a Laconia apartment on Arch Street and taken into custody, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White. Narcotics were found in the apartment and an individual there — Wendell Corrow, of Laconia — was arrested on a warrant, White said. Janak will likely face drug charges.

"Janak was living a very transient lifestyle and was more challenging to find due to his seemingly constant movement around the City of Laconia and surrounding towns," White said in a statement.

"A lot of different agencies worked together to tirelessly track down Mr. Janak," U.S. Marshal David Cargill said. "This group effort is what makes these arrests both safe and possible."
