NH Fugitive Of Week Captured In Concord At Gunpoint

The New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force captured Adam Smart, featured as a recent Fugitive of the Week.

CONCORD, NH — A man featured as a recent New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week was arrested at gunpoint in Concord. Adam Smart, 34, was captured Tuesday, according to the New Hampshire Fugitive Task Force. He was wanted in connection with cocaine and theft charges and authorities featured him as the Fugitive of the Week May 30.

"Since this time, numerous tips had come in, but Smith was found to be moving around the country including Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada which were both beyond the extradition limits for the issued arrest warrants," Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White said in a statement. "Through the fugitive investigation and anonymous tipsters, information was developed that Smart had returned to New Hampshire and was living with a relative on Brookwood Drive in Concord."

White added, "Smart was observed through the front door of the house, at which time he attempted to flee out a rear door. Smart was stopped at gunpoint and arrested without further incident."
