NH Legislature Reconvenes After Week Off

Medicaid expansion and the gas tax are among the items up for discussion this week.

The New Hampshire Legislature reconvenes Monday after taking February school vacation week off.

Issues up for discussion this week include the Medicaid expansion compromise, the gas tax and expanded gambling, according to the Associated Press. A proposal to repeal the death penalty is another item slated to be taken up in the coming weeks.

A poll released Monday by New England College shows strong support among New Hampshire residents for the Medicaid expansion deal. Sixty-six percent of those responding said they support the proposal, with 25 percent opposed and 10 percent still unsure.
