LINCOLN, NH — A New Hampshire moose recently discovered one way to beat the summer heat — jumping in the Flume Gorge at Franconia Notch State Park. New Hampshire photographer Ellen Edersheim captured the moose swimming in a natural pool and even dunking its head under a waterfall for full effect. The animal walked off into the woods after its swim, according Real World - New Hampshire, which shared Edersheim's video:

Speaking of moose, New Hampshire's moose hunt lottery drawing is Friday. Fifty-one hunting permits will be issued. New Hampshire's moose population is estimated at 3,300.
