CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire's moose hunt lottery will be held this week and 51 permits are up for grabs. The lottery is the only way to obtain a moose-hunting permit in New Hampshire. Moose hunting season is October 20-28. Fifty-one permits were also issued in last year's lottery.
The 2018 application deadline was May 25. The drawing, performed by a computer, will be held June 15 at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department in Concord. The results will be posted on the New Hampshire Fish and Game website and Facebook page.
The number of permits issued each year is based on past hunting license sales.
