NH Teen Found With AK-47, Meth, Crack: Police

New Hampshire police said a 17-year-old from Pembroke was found driving around with an AK-47, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and a pistol.

HOOKSETT, NH — A New Hampshire teenager was arrested this week after he was found with an AK-47 assault rifle, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and a pistol, police said Friday. The 17-year-old Pembroke male, whose name was not released due to his age, was arrested Tuesday night while driving around in Hooksett, according to Hooksett police Sergeant Valerie Lamy.

Lamy said the teen did not have a valid driver's license and was driving a vehicle with a cracked windshield and defective headlight. An officer pulled the teen over and he gave the officer false information about his identity, according to Lamy. The officer then searched the vehicle.

"(The officer) located a loaded 9 mm pistol inside with the serial number that appeared to have been tampered with," Lamy said in a statement. "The vehicle was then impounded and a search warrant was granted. Upon completion of the search a loaded AK47 was found as well as methamphetamine, crack cocaine and various drug paraphernalia."
