Power Outage Reported In West Concord Due To A Tree Falling On Wires

A tree fell onto wires on Hutchins Street, knocking out power to residents in the area, including Lake View Drive on Friday afternoon.

CONCORD, NH — Blustery wind knocked a tree down onto some wires, which cut power to approximately 100 Unitil customers in West Concord.

Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Hutchins Street around 4 p.m. for a report of a tree down. Power is knocked out to customers on the street as well as Lake View Drive, District 5 Road, and West Parish Road. Unitil is also heading to the area.

Hutchins Street was closed to traffic between North State Street and West Parish Road at 4:15 p.m.
