The single most important pressing issue facing the community is _______ and this is what I intend to do about it
Homeless people. Concord and Franklin provide all the support for homeless people because the surrounding towns shift their responsibility to the cities. I intend to meet with the county delegation to shift the financing of any solution to the county, relieving Concord and Franklin property taxpayers of footing the entire bill. Also, question why the city prosecutor wants to prosecute those who criminally trespass.
List three other things you would like to work on if elected or re-elected
- Curb the profligate council spending by bringing fiscal sanity to the budget process.
- Terminate the Opportunity Corridor TIF district thereby giving taxpayers 100% benefit of the enhanced development and use the $2M fund balance to offset bonding costs for capital projects thereby saving taxpayers $4M in debt service payments.
- Focus economic development efforts on expanding light industry job creation.
Name a couple of accomplishments in the past that show you can handle this position
I was elected and re-elected as an at-large city councilor for bringing fiscal sanity to the city budget process. My financial background will be a big plus to the council as I will only represent Concord taxpayers and not be a front for special interest.
Share any other thoughts or ideas you would like voters to know about yourself
Ranee and I moved to Concord from California, seeking a good place to have and raise a family. Concord was and still is, and I want to continue this for future generations.
