The single most important pressing issue facing the community is _______ and this is what I intend to do about it
Property taxes. I intend to follow the money, critically examine our spending, identify alternatives, work with residents to apply for exemptions and look beyond City Council to factors that impact taxes or our community’s economic well-being. Though the City Council has no oversight, I am paying attention to what the Board of Education is doing, as well as the State and Federal laws to have a greater understanding of the impacts on our residents and where they may need assistance.
List three other things you would like to work on if elected or re-elected
The Master Plan, The Capital Improvement Project Committee, Fiscal Policy Advisory Committee
Name a couple of accomplishments in the past that show you can handle this position
I proudly support the efforts of residents to engage in the civic process and create community in the process: Greenspace Coalition, NH Songa, Concord Concerned Citizens, Taxpayers Guild.
I like a challenge and the opportunity to highlight the resources around us; from breaking ground for a neighborhood community garden to supporting a groundbreaking conference addressing state-wide workforce issues and residents; participating in roadside cleanups and celebrating municipal sustainability achievements to documenting sidewalk accessibility and co-leading free tree tours downtown.
