Star Student Athlete: Josh Balances Academics, Sports, Work, And More

CONCORD, NH — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Josh is as committed to his athletics as his academics.

While Josh pushes himself to achieve, both on the field and in the classroom, it is his commitment to his teammates that really motivates him.

Josh always looks for ways that he can be a valuable member of his team, and he rarely misses an opportunity to encourage others around him.

As a member of the Student Athletic Leader Team (SALT) at Bishop Brady High School, Josh is an athletic leader and promotes participation and sportsmanship amongst his peers. Josh rarely misses a practice and uses his personal time to work on his skills. He has learned to balance his strong academic demands and performance with his commitment to scouting (Josh is currently working on his Eagle rank), a part-time job, and his athletics.

Josh loves to see the people around him succeed, and he will push himself to perform on the field to help his teammates reach their goals; Josh truly elevates everyone around him.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Josh truly cares about the people around him, and he is passionate about seeing everyone strive to meet their potential in a positive manner.
