Star Student: Ryder Of Concord Is Involved In And Excels At Everything
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts, or volunteer service. Here's one resident who is having an impact in Concord.

CONCORD, NH — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages, at debate lecterns, and in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Melissa Fisk, who nominated Ryder of Concord.
Ryder is involved in a lot at school and the city and does it all while also earning great grades.

How do you know the star local student?
He’s my son :)
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Ryder is involved in everything! He just finished swim season on the CHS swim team; he is active with the CHS theatre department and will be in "Grease" this spring; he is in marching band (and was a Drum Major this year) and jazz band; he is part of National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society where he is an officer; he works for Concord Parks and Rec year round but enjoys summers most when he lifeguards and teaches swim lessons; he also lifeguards at the YMCA; he is a member of Civil Air Patrol where he rose through the ranks and earned the Billy Mitchell award; he sometimes volunteers his music abilities for services at Concordia Lutheran Church; and the last 2 years he has volunteered to participate in the Wreaths Across America ceremony. He does all this and more while maintaining incredible grades in his advanced-level classes.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Ryder is smart and hard-working. But his greatest quality is his kindness toward everybody.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Ryder!
