Molly liked making people happy.
She also liked knowing all the different ways people found their happiness and then helping them to get it.
Her Dad, Kenny, loves to play golf. One of the items placed with Molly in her casket is a golf ball and a tee. So here we are, nine plus years after her death finally putting in a golf tournament.

The Swing With a Purpose Golf Tournament will take place on Friday September 26th, at 8:00am at The Loudon Country Club!
There will be all of the expected contests and raffles. There will be delicious food and a beautiful course. There will be amazing weather. (See what I did there!!)

Mostly, if you are a golfer, there will be an entire day for you to do something you love, with people you enjoy hanging out with.
When I started The MollyB Foundation I simply used money from our malpractice settlement with Concord Hospital to cover all of the scholarships and tee-shirts and financial assistance. But money is funny, and it runs out. While it isn't gone yet, I can not keep giving it away or Molly's opportunities to continue helping people will disappear.
So here we are, hosting a golf tournament.
I suck at golf! I can play either right or left handed and basically perform the same. I whiff the ball, I slice the ball, and occasionally I actually hit it well and is sails through the air. Molly only ever played mini-golf but I often wonder if she would have been any good at it.
I wonder about a lot of things when I think about Molly.
Right now I am wondering how this new adventure will play out. This is where you all come in.
For a successful event I need participants. Grab three of your best friends and sign up! The $145 per player entry fee gets you 18 holes of golf, lunch, snacks, a chance at a door prize, and a goodie bag that will put a smile on your face! You get a cart too!
You are not a golfer? No problem! You can sponsor a hole (or perhaps we call it sponsoring a tee). A $200 donation gets you a sign with your business name on said tee and mention on the MollyB Foundation website and in all event literature
Own a restaurant or a brewery? You could donate snack items or set up a tasting table for you fine brew!
Are you a company owner or CEO? Managing partner? Doctor, Lawyer, Real Estate Mogul? Do you need to fill your philanthropic quota? Do you just like helping people? You could sponsor one of the contests (Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Hole in One) or you could sponsor The event itself and have your name included in the title of the event!
Do you have cool stuff? You could donate items or services to the raffle! You could donate an item for the swag bag!
Finally, do you like helping out at events? You could be a greeter, a set up and break down assistant, or simply a friendly smiling face!
Basically, I want The MollyB Foundation to continue to thrive long after I am gone, and to become a successful and stable and fabulous non-profit.
