The Racquet Club of Concord to be Auctioned Off
Makeover plan falls through; owners reportedly owe back taxes.
The Racquet Club of Concord, at 10 Garvins Falls Road, will be put up for auction at 11 a.m. on July 30, according to Paul McInniss Real Estate Auctions.
The auction comes nearly two months after a deal to sell the club to Executive Health and Sports Center in Manchester fell through, according to a report in the Concord Monitor.
Mike Benton, the owner of the Executive Health, had a purchase and sale agreement for the club and ambitions plans to renovate and expand the facility, plans that were approved by the Concord Planning Board in January. According to the Monitor story, Benton had some delays lining up financing and the Nelson family, the family that owns the club currently, backed out of the sale and put it back on the market for $1.75 million.

The post about the auction went live on July 1, according to Google.
