These Are The Top 10 Safest Towns In New Hampshire: Safewise 2025 List
Five New Hampshire communities in the safest city and town rankings report zero violent crimes.
NEW HAMPSHIRE — Safewise has released its rankings of the safest cities in every U.S. state, including New Hampshire.
Nottingham was named the safest town in New Hampshire, according to the 2025 State of Safety in America rankings from Safewise.com.
The report was released last month and named the safest cities in the country based on crime rates and other data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Here's a look at the cities and towns that made up the rest of the top 10.
- Nottingham
- Deerfield
- Atkinson
- Chester
- Rye
- Litchfield
- New Boston
- Brookline
- Auburn
- Hollis
Of those cities, five reported zero violent crimes. They included Nottingham, Deerfield, Chester, Rye, and Auburn. Three communities reported zero burglaries: New Boston, Auburn, and Hollis. No murders were reported in New Hampshire's 20 safest cities.
