Thunderstorms, Scattered Showers On The Horizon For New Hampshire — With Nice Summer Weather In Between

The National Weather Service says Granite Staters can expect rain on Tuesday and Thursday, but nice weather on Wednesday and July 4th.

CONCORD, NH — Granite Staters can expect rain and thunderstorms some days this week, according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday morning, forecasters issued a “hazardous weather outlook” alert for most of New Hampshire, warning of “a few strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours are possible on Tuesday.” Showers and thunderstorms are expected to start before 11 a.m. in Concord and the capital region, about 2 p.m. on the Seacoast, and around 3 p.m. in Nashua and southern New Hampshire. Wind gusts will be as high as 20 mph. Showers and T-storms are scheduled before 10 p.m.

On Wednesday, the sun returns with highs in the upper 80s, with wind gusts of 20 mph. Overnight lows will be in the lower 60s.

Scattered showers are expected to return on Thursday, possibly in the early afternoon in Concord, with mostly cloudy skies in between, and highs in the mid-80s. No rain is forecast for Nashua or the Seacoast on Thursday. More showers are expected in the evening.

For the Fourth of July, sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s are expected. Mostly clear skies are forecast for the evening, with lows in the lower 50s.
