Ward 5 And Ward 6 Concord City Council Candidates Explain Why They Want To Be Councilors In 2025
Aislinn Kalob and Brenna Kehew Sculley are competing for the open Ward 6 seat while Stacey Brown is seeking a third term in Ward 5.

CONCORD, NH — Three of four candidates seeking two city council ward seats in 2025 told voters why in a forum in early October with Patch and Concord TV.
Aislinn Kalob and Brenna Kehew Sculley are seeking the open Ward 6 city council seat, while Stacey Brown, the Ward 5 councilor, is seeking a third term. Alex Dellas, the challenger for the Ward 5 Concord city council seat, was invited to attend but chose not to.
The candidates answered questions about the length of time they have lived in Concord, the role of a city councilor, the golf course clubhouse project, housing, whether there should be a sanctioned homeless camp and how they get other communities to assist, the city’s budget process, ideas to expand the tax base, and solid waste and the purple bag tax.

Editor’s note: As was pointed out to me earlier this month by a city councilor who is uncontested, the tax rate for fiscal year 2026 was under 3 percent, 2.96 percent, to be exact, down from a proposed 3.96 percent. I misremembered the increase, thinking it was 4.96 down to 3.96. Most previous years were under 3 percent and only above 3 percent when the city added the service of a fourth ambulance.
