2 Women Arrested in Prostitution Sting
Sara E. Vazquez and Stephanie A. White of Worcester, MA will be arraigned next month.
Portsmouth Police arrested two Massachusetts women Thursday on prostitution and drug charges as part of a sting operation.
According to Police Capt. Mike Schwartz, the Portsmouth Police Department was notified Thursday by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of social media postings in the Seacoast area advertising prostitution. The images associated with the postings included females that may have been juveniles.
Based on this notification, the Portsmouth Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit conducted a sting operation and arrested two people.
Sara E. Vazquez, 19, of 2 Marble St., Worcester, MA was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana. Stephanie A. White, 24, of 52 Providence St., Worcester, MA was charged with prostitution. Both women were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth District Court on March 17.
