Baby Suffered 11 Broken Bones in Horrific Abuse Case
The baby's parents have each been indicted on 12 counts of second degree assault.
Two parents arrested last year for allegedly assaulting their 1-month-old infant allegedly broke 11 bones in their child's body, according to indictments released this week.
Christine Tumulty, 34, and Allen Rockwood, 32, of 76 South Main St., Apt. 11, Newton were each indicted by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury this month on 12 counts of second degree assault in connection to the abuse case.
According to the indictment, between Sept. 21 and Oct. 21, the two caused bodily injury to their child, resulting in fractured right and left elbows, fractured right and left shin bones, fractured right and left forearms, a fractured right calf bone, a fractured left thigh bone, three fractured ribs and hemorrhages in both eyes.
Tumulty and Rockwood are the baby's biological parents. They were initially arrested on Dec. 11 after Newton Police received a report of potential abuse from the New Hampshire Division of Children, Youth and Families.
