Exeter Woman Faces 4th Drunken-Driving Charge After 2 Crashes
Emily Zoulias was arrested on Tuesday on a felony DUI charge as well as revocation and disobeying officer charges after the crashes.
EXETER, NH — A woman from Exeter was arrested on a fourth drunken-driving charge after two crashes on Tuesday.
Police in Exeter were tipped off to a report of a hit-and-run crash on North Hampton Road around 6:45 p.m. While en route, an officer saw a suspect vehicle, a 2010 Nissan Altima, in the area of High Street and pulled it over, with the assistance of other officers, according to Exeter Police Chief Stephan Poulin. At first, the driver stopped, and then, began to accelerate from the stop and sped away, he said.
The driver was identified as Emily A. Zoulias, 31, of Exeter.

Dispatch then began receiving multiple reports of a crash a few minutes later on Linden Street.
“When police arrived, Zoulias was found standing outside her vehicle among a crowd of people,” Poulin said. “The vehicle had heavy front-end damage and appeared to have struck a fence on a front lawn on Linden Street.”

Zoulias was accused of being “involved” in the crash and was arrested. She was charged with felony DUI, with police accusing of being “under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or controlled drug, prescription drug, over-the-counter drug, or any other chemical substance which impairs a person’s ability to drive,” he said, as well as three disobeying an officer charges and a single count of driving after revocation. Zoulias has DWI convictions out of Portsmouth District Court and in Missouri, Poulin said. There were no injuries reported in either accident.
Zoulias was arraigned on Wednesday and released on $1,000 cash bail. She is due back in Rockingham County Superior Court for a dispositional conference on May 2.
Poulin said a judge ordered Zoulias to be admitted to a “long-term rehabilitation facility in Florida” once she was released.
