Local Poker Room Reportedly Robbed

The Poker Room in Hampton Falls was robbed Thursday night.

Police were still searching for suspects Friday morning.

The robbery happened at about 7 p.m., and according to emergency radio reports one person was transported to the hospital due to a head injury sustained during the incident.

A county-wide alert was issued for a red pickup truck apprently used in the incident.

The Hampton Police Department couldn't immediately be reached for comment Friday morning.

SeacoastOnline.com reported the truck was a red, two-door Toyota pickup that fled north on Lafayette Road after the robbery, and that the suspect wanted is a white man between the ages of 27 and 32. The man is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs about 190 pounds, has black hair and was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Police are asking anyone with additional information about either incident to contact their local police department or the Crimeline for the Hamptons at 929-1222 or hamptonscrimeline@yahoo.com. There is a cash reward available for information that leads to an arrest.

The Hampton incident reportedly was an attempted robbery at Xtra Mart, during which a masked man entered the store and said he had a gun, according to emergency radio communications.

Emergency radio communications reported the gun wasn't shown, though, and the employee on duty hit the store's panic alarm, which reportedly didn't work. This delayed police response, according to police. No additional details were available over emergency radio communications.
