EXETER, NH — Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian by a train on Wednesday. Officers were sent to train tracks in the wooded area of Front Street and Powder Mill Road a little after 1:15 p.m. for a fatal incident reported by train authorities, Chief Stephan Poulin of the Exeter Police Department said. "(The) preliminary investigation suggests that the person walking on the tracks was unaware of the approaching southbound train and was struck from behind," he said.
