Suit Says Mom Gave Gun in Police Chief Murder

WMUR reports that court documents in the civil suit filed by four police officers who were wounded in Greenland say she provided Cullen Mutrie with several weapons.

A civil suit filed by four police officers who were wounded in the attack that killed Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney contends that the mother of Cullen Mutrie provided him with the gun he used to kill Maloney.

WMUR-TV reported the court documents also show that police seized 21 weapons and ammunition from Beverly Mutrie's North Hampton home, including a .9-mm handgun that Cullen Mutrie used to kill the Greenland Police chief during a drug raid at Mutrie's home on 517 Post Road on April 13.

Maloney was killed and four police officers were wounded during the drug raid. Authorities say that Cullen Mutrie shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Brittany Tibbetts before turning the gun on himself to end the police standoff.
