2nd Annual Small Town, Bright Lights Contest Held In Rye

The event, sponsored by the Rye PTA and Partners Bank, raises money for New Hampshire Fuel Assistance Program.

RYE, NH — For the second year in a row, homes in nearby Rye will be decorated with lights for the 2nd Annual Small Town, Bright Lights Contest.

Homes in town will be illuminated while community volunteers act as judges. There are four categories: Norman Rockwell Christmas, Grandma Got Run Over, Land of Misfit Toys, and People’s Choice, which will be determined by residents. There is an entry fee of $10, which will be donated to the New Hampshire Fuel Assistance Program.

Last year, 50 homes in town participated.

The judging begins on Dec. 18 and lasts four days. Registration begins Friday.
