Hampton Beach-goers will notice something different later this week. More in the Five Things You Need to Know Today.

Good morning, Hampton and North Hampton. Here are five things you need to know for Wednesday, April 3:

1. Big Changes Coming: The Sea Ketch is just about ready to unveil its drastic changes — both in terms of appearance and overall business model — on Friday, April 5, when it opens for the season.

2. Today’s Featured Fun: North Hampton School fourth grade students have a field trip today. Have fun, and be sure to e-mail photos to Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com!

3. This Day in History: The rise of the action-adventure blockbuster was on the horizon, but on this night in 1978, the small-scale romantic comedy triumphed over the big-budget space extravaganza.

At the 50th annual Academy Awards on this day in 1978, held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, Woody Allen’s "Annie Hall" won the Oscar for Best Picture, beating out George Lucas’ "Star Wars."

4. Today's Forecast:

Day
Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 23. West wind 10 to 16 mph.

5. Do You Like Taking Photos? Well, you're in luck because we want to showcase them for you as part of our Photo of the Day.
