'Cops for Kids with Cancer' Giving Local Teen $5K
A police nonprofit's sizable donation should easily help surpass initial fundraising efforts for a Hampton teen going through a difficult fight with bone cancer.

Retired Boston Police Superintendent Robert Faherty will donate a large sum Tuesday to a Hampton teen going through a difficult fight with bone cancer.
Fahey, the chairman of the nonprofit Cops for Kids with Cancer, will present 13-year-old Nickolas Anzalone with a $5,000 check during a ceremony at noon Tuesday.
Several events have been held recently — including a sizable auction night on Monday at The Old Salt — to help Anzalone and his family through his recovery from an aggressive bone cancer.
The community has set a target of $20,000 for the Nickolas Anzalone Cancer Treatment Fund. Tuesday's Cops for Kids with Cancer donation is expected to just about put them over that mark even without the proceeds from Monday's auction night.
