Court: Women Stole Hundreds in Liquor Store Champagne

Two women in their 30s allegedly lifted bottles of Moët from the state liquor store in North Hampton.

Two Manchester women are facing felony theft by unauthorized taking charges for stealing six bottles of Moët Nectar from the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet store in North Hampton.

Isabel A. Santos, 32, and Alice White, 39, both of 144 Pearl St., Apt. 3, in Manchester, were each indicted this month in Rockingham Superior Court on one count of the Class B felony.

The indictments for Santos and White state that the pair allegedly worked together on March 23 to steal the six bottles of champagne, which according to multiple vendors sell for roughly $60 apiece.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt or conviction; rather, it means a grand jury believed there was sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
