Hampton Man Charged With Throat Cutting, Victim Rushed To ER

HAMPTON, NH — A Hampton man was arrested on a first-degree assault charge after someone was rushed to the emergency room Monday with a laceration to the throat. Norman Howard, 40, of Hampton, was arrested after a disturbance on H Street around 1:30 a.m. The victim was transported to the Seabrook emergency room, according to the Hampton Police Department.

Police say they identified Howard as the suspect of the assault and then found him on F Street. He was arrested around 2 a.m. Monday without incident and was charged with knowingly causing injury with a deadly weapon, according to police.

Howard was held with no bail at Rockingham County jail after his arrest. The Rockingham County Attorney's Office will prosecute the case, police say.
