Hampton Students Ready for Once-In-A-Lifetime Gig

Local singers will earn a special distinction this weekend during a unique, but chilly, performance in Manchester.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):

1. Belt One Out with Local Talented Students: Members of the Sacred Heart School choir will perform the national anthem at Saturday's hockey game between the American Hockey League's Manchester Monarchs and Providence Bruins in Manchester, according to the school's Facebook page. Congratulations!

2. Cheer on Winnacunnet's and Hampton Falls' Best: Two Seacoast-area teams will go for gold Saturday at the New Hampshire Destination ImagiNation Finals in the hopes of moving on to the global competition.

3. Enjoy a Nice Lunch or Dinner Out: Area businesses have plenty of specials planned Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Portsmouth and the Seacoast Restaurant Week.

4. Visit the Beach Before the Tourists Do: The weather's getting warmer, which means there aren't too many weekends left for you to head down to the beach and enjoy a quiet walk along the sand. Just remember, if you do go down this weekend, the parking meters are on.

5. Have Some Fun, Courtesy of a Local Library: Lane Memorial Library is hosting both local author Brad Boucher and a fun contest this weekend.

What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
