Hampton Woman Accused Of Stabbing On Ashworth Avenue

Hampton police said Elizabeth Upham, 43, was arrested after stabbing an individual multiple times.

HAMPTON, NH — A Hampton woman was arrested Thursday night and accused of stabbing an individual, according to police. Elizabeth Upham, 43, was charged with first-degree assault. She was held at the Rockingham County Jail and scheduled for an arraignment Friday at Rockingham County Superior Court.

Hampton Deputy Chief David Hobbs said the stabbing happened Thursday at about 11:30 p.m. on Ashworth Avenue. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Officers tracked Upham down minutes later on the Kings Highway and she was taken into custody.
