Hampton Woman Charged In Dog's Death Arrested Again
Hampton police said Beth Bessemer caused the death of a golden retriever by locking it in a cage with a hair dryer on.

HAMPTON, NH -- A Hampton dog groomer charged in connection with a golden retriever's last month was arrested again, police announced Monday. Beth Bessemer (pictured), 57, was arrested Friday and charged with breach of bail, according to Hampton Deputy Police Chief David Hobbs. Bessemer was originally arrested September 17 after police said she locked the golden retriever in a cage and left a hair dryer on. The dog died.
Bessemer was released on bond and ordered to have no contact with pets that are not her own. She continued to work at her grooming business and violated the bond order by coming in contact with customers' pets, Hobbs said. She also failed to post copies of the criminal complaints against her at her business, he said.
Police issued a warrant for her arrest and she turned herself in Friday. She was again released on bond pending an arraignment November 13 in Seabrook District Court. She was also again ordered not to have contact with dogs that are not her own.
