Investigation Into Super Floorz Fire Continues

A cause still hasn't been determined in connection to an apartment fire that forced two Hampton residents to climb out of a second-story window to avoid injury last week.

Hampton Fire Chief Chris Silver said there are still items on which to "follow up" on Tuesday, which meant the fire was still "under investigation" as of Monday.

The two-alarm fire occurred above Super Floorz, located on Route 1 just north of the Hampton Falls line, at about 7:19 p.m. Thursday.

Fire investigators were delayed that night by hazardous conditions and a lack of power to the building. Officials have been going over witness statements and evaluating various parts of the building, most of the damage to which occurred around the apartment's front door.
