Massachusetts Teen Accused Of Driving 121 MPH On Interstate 95 In New Hampshire

NORTH HAMPTON, NH — A teen from Massachusetts faces a reckless operation charge after being accused of excessively speeding on Interstate 95 south Saturday.
New Hampshire State Police troopers were working a special enforcement unit operation, which was held in an effort to try and reduce speeding and other hazardous behavior on state highways. One trooper reported clocking a BMW coupe at 121 mph around 7:30 a.m.
The trooper radioed another trooper about the car. The second trooper also confirmed it was speeding — driving more than 100 mph, a report said.

The driver, Jake Marley, 19, of Boxford, MA, was stopped in North Hampton, questioned, and then charged with reckless operation. He is due in Portsmouth District Court on Dec. 19.
“The New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors,” Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the department, said. “Members of the unit patrol across the state often utilizing the state police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire’s roadways safe for all residents and visitors.”
