Monday Essentials: Big Town Project Taking Shape

A multi-million-dollar project, a five-day event just for kids, heroin and child porn court dates, and a music festival are on tap this week.

Happy Monday, Hampton and North Hampton. Here are five important things coming up this week:

1.
New information about North Hampton's municipal complex plan — information that could include updated costs and ideas — will be presented by various groups Monday night during a 7 p.m. Select Board meeting.

2. The ever-popular weeklong Hampton Beach Children's Festival returns Monday. More information about the annual event can be found here.

3. Speaking of North Hampton's municipal complex plan, there's a special benefit night at a local restaurant Tuesday to help raise funds for the new North Hampton Public Library. The new library would tie into the overall campus concept.

4. A North Hampton-based recording company is throwing a three-day music festival this week.

5. There are numerous notable court appearances this week, including hearings for a Hampton couple charged with heroin and child endangerment offenses, a Hampton teen who was driving drunk when he caused a sizable gas leak, and a local man busted for child pornography.
