Monday Essentials: Celebrate Big Day for Hampton Beach
Here are a handful of things you should know as you head into a big and busy week for Hampton and North Hampton.

1. Hampton Beach will be immortalized Monday in a renowned artist's "most meaningful work." There's a public ceremony at McGuirk's Ocean View to celebrate the unveiling.
2. This week will also see several big-name political figures visiting New Hampshire. Monday, U.S. Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), a possible presidential candidate in 2016, is in the Granite State. And tomorrow, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will attend an NHGOP fundraiser in Wolfeboro, where he owns a summer home. On Friday, former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) is scheduled to attend an event in Salem. Brown, of course, has been talked about as a possible Senate candidate in New Hampshire, given that he owns a summer home on the Seacoast. Brown was in Hampton on Wednesday and Portsmouth over the weekend for his daughter's respective concerts on the Hampton Beach Seashell Stage and at Portsmouth's Prescott Park.
3. Speaking of political visits, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen will be in Hampton on Monday for a series of stops to honor heroic local first responders, as well as honor Hampton Beach businesses and help kick of the town's 375th anniversary celebration, which starts later in the week.

5. There are also a variety of free all-ages shows and concerts, as well as several notable Hampton and North Hampton meetings and events, this week.
